I was short on money to spend on skates, but overall they are a good skate. I play on a higher level so it only took a practice to break them in. Definitely worth the moneyReview by Nik Bolin (Posted on 10/6/2014)
Great skates, but after a couple of weeks, I took a puck to the skates that chipped the cowling and cracked the chassis on the inside right skate. Fortunately it cracked where it is not load bearing point, but still, they shouldn't have broken with only a little ice time.I don't play at a high level, so it was surprising. Otherwise they are a great fit that didn't need to be broken in.Review by Thomas (Posted on 7/15/2014)
Love the skate, great mobility.Review by SickNastyBetweenThePipes (Posted on 6/26/2014)
Great Price the whole 9.
My only complaint is that after I got these baked it seemed like there was nothing left of the comfort inserts. It felt like I was breaking the skate in.. After the skate was broken in. Relatively easy fix though, just bought some gel inserts and problem solved.
I would buy them again. Maybe not get them baked the next time however.
I'm moving from a high-end skate that didn't fit right (too narrow) to these because I'm a bit strapped for cash... These fit great and do the job on a budget.Review by GLEACH30 (Posted on 6/24/2014)
I do wish they had the cutout in the cowling like the higher level Bauers do but I suspect the boot isn't rugged enough for it so they can't do it on their entry level so I can't really complain about it.
I can't complain...they fit great...feel great and didn't hurt my feet at all. I'd buy them again.Review by Kick Save Piche (Posted on 6/15/2014)
I've always used Bauer Skates so there were no surprises with these ones. Played a couple of games with these skates and LOVE EM. I like the off centered blade making it easier to push off side to side (good for butterfly). Pretty comfortable. I just don't lace up the top holes until the skate gets a little more broke in so that I have some extra flexability forward. Much lighter than my old Grafs.Review by Jedmobile (Posted on 6/12/2014)
i think these skates are amazing btw this is tim thomas that used to play on the boston bruins i used these for 3 and a half years they have a nice fit in themReview by tommas (Posted on 5/9/2014)
Skates are great and really all you need for youth hockey. One problem. I followed the size chart to buy my son's skates but they were still way too big for him. You will be responsible to ship them back for replacement.Review by Alex Perez (Posted on 5/1/2014)
my sons second pair-these are the only skates he will wear now.Review by goalie dad (Posted on 4/28/2014)
First, I cannot say enough kind things about the service I got in buying these and the sales team.Review by Jpach34 (Posted on 4/7/2014)
Second, the boot fit is awesome. Inside Toe area had some rough spots near the stitching areas, but a nail file smoothed those out no problem. Comfort wise on the foot, these are great.
3 skates in and I've come to the realization, the new cowling is just not for me. Don't get me wrong, its built fantastic, but the blade on the cowling sits closer to the instep on your foot than in previous versions, I realize I am the small majority of player that will not like this new placement, but if you have super high arches like me, the ball of your foot tends to take pressure from this.
I'll be looking to replace the cowlings with something more traditional if they will fit/if I can find older ones.
Comfortable feeling 1st time on the ice. My side to side lateral power moves were much easier and quicker! I'd recommend these skates to anyone for the performance factor alone. The Low GoalieMonkey Price was a huge incentive to make the jump into these skates.Review by By Chadman (Posted on 4/5/2014)
I bought these as my previous skates were too narrow. Right out of the box these were comfortable. An 1.5 hour practice and my feet felt great first time out. Great skate for the price.Review by Quickdraw (Posted on 3/31/2014)
I bought these to replace my CCM's, and couldn't be happier. They felt comfortable for the first time being used. I also found that skating in them are comparable to my normal skates. Plus the push to initiate my slid was easy, good power moving across.Review by Jason (Posted on 3/12/2014)
Great Skate, Great Price
Nice skate, feel good, nice fit.Review by Steve (Posted on 3/11/2014)
These are my first pair of ice skates.... they hurt like hell the first skate breaking them in but now I love them.Review by justin (Posted on 1/24/2014)
I just purchased these for my son playing bantam A level, after 2 seasons using ccm. Amazing how I immediately noticed a difference in his game (actually has only used in practice so far). speed-he kept up with everyone during skating drills instead of being the one trailing behind. During the goalie drills/training his form and pushes were solid and during scrimmage his saves were much more accurate including a few shots from the coaches. Hard to believe a skate could make such a difference but I think they add just that little extra he needed. Btw he loves them and says they feel like memory foam on his feet.Review by goalie dad (Posted on 11/9/2013)
great skateReview by cool guy (Posted on 7/31/2013)
