Warrior has completely redefined the market with the release of the new Swagger line of sticks, adding the ST and LT families of sticks to their arsenal. The ST is designed for the goalie looking for a stick that is STrong and durable that won’t quit on them. They see hard, heavy shots and rely on their stick to deflect and absorb impact without failure. The LT line of sticks is designed for the goalie looking for a LighTweight, thin paddles stick they can shoot and handle the puck very quickly with. It remains durable, but allows for more precise movement/rebound control and shooting characteristics. Either choice, the Swagger is a tool the goalie depends on to stay strong and ready for impact.
The Swagger Pro LT is Warrior’s bread and butter Swagger from their factory in Finland. This stick has identical specs as 90% of the sticks sent to the 18 Warrior NHL goalies. NHL goalies change very little of the internal construction/weight of the sticks, they simply customize their pattern/length.
The paddle begins with the thicker ST paddle/blade shape, utilizing a secret formula urethane RIM-molded paddle. Both the paddle and blade are reinforced with carbon laminate to achieve a Neutral Zone weight balance. A staple in the Swagger ST sticks, the blade features a Platform Heel high impact ABS insert to prevent heel breakage. Additionally, the blade has an added Landing Strip reinforcement layer for added stiffness and durability.
The handle is constructed of a hybrid birch-aspen wood core with a fiberglass laminate. The inner aspen core provides a lightweight base while the surrounding birch wood significantly adds durability for extended use.
For the high-end goalie looking for a stick that has the proven dependability demanded by NHL pros, the Swagger ST is the perfect choice.
I have had this stick for a season, and after the first time using it I knew I wanted something different. It's very heavy so it hurts to pass after 5 minutes, it chips so it gave me splinters, I had a hard time redirecting pucks into the corner, it vibrates so much so it hurts my hard to the point I want to drop the stick, and last but not least, it would always bounce off the stick way to much and gave up so many rebounds. This isn't even all the problems with the stick. I strongly recommend that you do not get this stick because it's a waste. If you do end up buying this stick, it should be for mites and lower level squirts/10U.Review by stilly1 (Posted on 3/10/2017)
