Details

The Swagger WDY represents Warrior’s classic solid wood core stick and features some of the higher end technology trickling down to make it even more durable than ever.

Warrior has taken the all-new wood handle concept featured on the older Swagger ST and applied it to the Swagger WDY. The front shooter-facing side is made of ACV (Aircraft Veneer), a material incredibly strong and resistant to impact while the backside uses Aspen wood, known for its ideal flex and vibration absorption capabilities. Gone are the days of poly tape on the handles from delamination of the fiberglass!

Like the Swagger Wood and Woodrow of days past, the core of the paddle and blade is constructed of a glass-laminated birch core shaft and paddle for the very best in impact strength and stability. This stick features a thin paddle profile to reduce additional weight.

For the goalie looking for a traditional feeling solid wood core stick with a hint of technology, there is no better choice than the Warrior Swagger WDY.

Beautiful Light Tank

I absolutely love this stick. I fully realize that it is not the lightest on the market by far, but I have had issues with the light composite sticks giving way and breaking too easy. This stick is a solid stick that takes a beating and keeps going. Yet, it is light enough to have solid mobility in the crease. For the money, you can’t go wrong.

Stick broke one month after playing

When I got the stick I was excited, given that I used to use Itech woodies about 10 years ago. Those sticks would last about 6 months to a year.

With the Warrior, it felt just like the Itech wood stick did. Solid feeling, sturdy, a little heavy, and cool looking. However, after playing less than 10 games, it snapped on me last night. I was trying to make a pass and it snapped right above the paddle, literally in half. Therefore, the integrity of the stick is not good and will break if you are a goaltender that loves to play the puck as I do. I would not recommend this stick especially if you are an aggressive goalie who poke checks, paddles down, and plays the puck often.

great stick

Best wood stick on the market.you get a true feel of the puck. Great for rebound and directional control.they hold up to the big shot. If you do not like the feel of compoite or foam core go old school.

great stick for the price

I purchased this stick to replace an older reebok that I had broken the handle on. I've played 6 games or so with it and it seems to do well and isn't as easy for the players to lift as the reebok was. All in all great stick - we will see how it holds up.
