Brian's Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Leg Pads:

Brand new for 2019, Brian’s Custom Sports has introduced their next second adaptation in the Optik series with the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Leg Pads. Brian’s aimed to reach a new level of creativity with the first Optik line and the Optik 2 takes that concept and improves key features to push the bar even higher for Brian’s gear.

Starting off with the outer structure of the Brian’s Optik 2 pads, you will see the familiar outer roll from the previous Optik pad that both reduces the weight of the build and improves five hole closure.

Looking at the outer shape of the Brian’s Optik 2, the FLX and FLY models are back with an all new MAX option to help satisfy all styles of goalies wanting to use the Optik 2 pad. Starting off on the returning options, the FLX option is similar to a double internal break with an 80 degree toe taper which is meant for a hybrid goalie who wants more of an S curve to their pad. Finally, the FLY option will be for a goalie who has a wider butterfly and wants a stiffer pad setup with a 90 degree toe taper.

On to the brand new new MAX option, Brian’s decided to create this option due to customer input and popular trends in custom orders. The MAX option will be a middle ground between the FLX and FLY option, featuring the S shape as seen in the FLX but offering a stiffer build that a goalie needs for long term use but will not be as stiff as the FLY option. The MAX option will come as a 90 degree toe taper that will help the pad sit slightly higher on the goaltender.

All three Optik 2 options will feature harder rebound patterns to allow the goaltender to kick pucks out away and hard to the corners. Each will feature an ultra lightweight E foam pad core implemented to keep the Optik 2 at a very low weight construction.

The inside edge of the Brian’s Optik 2 will feature the popular Primo sliding edge as seen in other Brian’s models. Primo is designed to give the goaltender a quicker sliding surface while adding durability for long term use.

Moving on to the back of the pad, Brian’s has slightly refined the leg channel from the Optik build. The knee cradle is made of a high grade nylon which makes for a more comfortable landing. Brian’s has added a stiffness to the knee to create a more stable landing when going down in to the butterfly. The final touch on the knee block is the 45 degree angle edge that helps reduce the risk of the knee blocks interfering with each other during movements and recoveries.

The leg channel features the popular 2 inch Smart X strap as used in the previous model that will help over rotation and will keep the knee tight into the knee lock. From below the inside of the calf to the outside of the knee, there is a removable 1 inch wide strap that can help secure the knee further into the pad, similarly found on the Gnetik3. In the calf, the Optik 2 pad features a large removable air pillow that provides extra support under the calf when down in the butterfly.

Finally, the boot strap features the same seatbelt style smart boot strap with an elastic smart toe cord for a more responsive connection to the Optik 2 leg pad.

If you are an elite-level goaltender who previously enjoyed the Optik leg pad or is looking for the newest and best offering from Brian’s Custom Sports, look no further than the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Leg Pads.

Brian's Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Glove:

Brand new for 2019, Brian’s Custom Sports has introduced their next second adaptation in the Optik series with the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Glove. Brian’s aimed to reach a new level of creativity with the first Optik line and the Optik 2 takes that concept and improves key features to push the bar even higher for Brian’s gear.

First looking at the glove, the Optik 2 gives a familiar massive look just like the previous Optik glove while still staying within the maximum depth and shape allowed per NHL specifications. The closure will come stock as a 40 degree closure with a game ready palm. Throughout the palm, you will see the laced in break that ensures a consistent snap closure and feel.

Along the base of the glove you will notice the beveled thumb shape that will help direct pucks into the pocket of the glove naturally if not caught fully in the pocket. Another benefit of the shape is shown at the bottom perimeter which helps seal holes during in tight situations to help create a full closure when tightening up.

Moving on to the back of the glove, you will notice a floating wrist pad features with Hex-Air molded SBA for improved comfort and air flow. Along with a raised HD backhand finger ridge for added protection and confidence when covering pucks.

Internally, you will see the return of BOA Technology that was previously seen on the Optik and G-Netik IV gloves. BOA dials can be found centered across the back of the hand and the wrist to dial in your specific feel that you prefer. Lining the BOA Wrist dial, you will see Brian’s Hex-Air material which will also keep the goaltenders wrist locked in and prevent slippage. On the fingers, you will see a 2 inch wide elastic strap with a Velcro closure to keep the fingers tight.

If you are an elite-level goaltender who previously enjoyed the Optik Glove or is looking for the newest and best offering from Brian’s Custom Sports, look no further than the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Glove.

Brian's Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Blocker:

Brand new for 2019, Brian’s Custom Sports has introduced their next second adaptation in the Optik series with the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Blocker. Brian’s aimed to reach a new level of creativity with the first Optik line and the Optik 2 takes that concept and improves key features to push the bar even higher for Brian’s gear.

First, you will notice the shape of the blocker that was carried over from the previous Optik model, coming as a beveled style board which has a very thin shape which ultimately reduces the weight of the blocker. There is still a thick board which sits across the back of the wrist and hand to give the goalie the protection and balance they need to make key saves. The hand placement is slightly higher than center which gives the goalie the coverage they need down low to make saves below the hand but still above the pad.

Brian’s has reinforced the SBA no-slip palm on the Optik and tightened up the palm to provide a snug fit without the blocker palm loosening up through game play. On the index finger, you will find HD foams sewn all the way around to protect the index finger from pucks riding up the stick. The finger stalls are also lined with X-Static antimicrobial material to help reduce funk and smell over time.

On the back of the Optik 2, you will see the return of BOA Technology as previously seen on the G-Netik 4 and Optik blockers. A BOA dial can be found centered across the wrist which gives the goalie the ability the achieve their own preferred fit and feel in this unit. Brian’s has re-designed the cuff anchor strap to provide stability to the laceless sidewall.

If you are an elite-level goaltender who previously enjoyed the Optik Blocker or is looking for the newest and best offering from Brian’s Custom Sports, look no further than the Brian’s Optik 2 Pro Senior Custom Goalie Blocker.
