Core Construction
DUALITECORE™: CCM builds the EFLEX 7.9 leg pads around a streamlined DUALITECORE™ architecture, designed for a lighter, more agile feel compared to the EF6.5 pads.
Pre-curved Core w/ Single Inner Break: CCM's EF7.9 pads are built to move around the crease with a softer, more flexible balance between mobility and a rigid pad seal.
Outer Construction
Classic Knee Roll Face w/ Modern Build: CCM's EFLEX 7.9 leg pads dominate the crease with a modern take on the traditional knee roll face. Compared to the classic knee rolls, CCM's EF7 knee rolls offer more directional rebound control with their dense, low-profile, and sharp, angular design.
Single Break Outer Roll: A single break outer roll helps to keep the EFLEX 7.9 pads' upper edge stiff, helping to reduce skip-over and keep a tight seal while keeping a softer flex through the thighs.
Inner Edge
Cross Glide: Debuting with the EFLEX 7 lineup release, CCM's Cross Glide material lines the inner edges to give these pads a quick, yet precise sliding feel.
Flat, High-density Calf Plate w/ Support Pillow: Also redesigned for the EFLEX 7 pads, a flat, HD calf plate backed with a dense support pillow helps to ensure a solid seal and put the pads down faster.
Leg Channel
Dynamic Response System w/ Synthetic Suede Grip: CCM's DRS system combines a rigid, high-density knee stack with an easily adjustable DRS strapping to accommodate a wide range of knee fits. To help keep the goalie's knees centered, the EF7.9 pads' knee stack is topped with a tractive synthetic suede.
Quick Motion Strap System 3: CCM's padded QMSS 3 calf strapping secures the upper and lower calves with easily-adjustable tension, allowing goalies to fine-tune how the pads control around the calves.
Deep, Tight Leg Channel w/ Open Knee Cradle A deep, tight fit leg channel helps to keep confident control around the calves, balanced by an open knee cradle to help put the pads down faster.
Boot
90° Boot w/ Offset Hybrid Lace Toe Ties: Signature to CCM's EFLEX pads, a shallow, 90° boot sits the pads higher on the skates, helping to reduce binding and put the pad down faster. Once they are down, CCM's Hybrid Skate Lace Toe Ties secure with stretchable Velcro® straps, allowing the ankles a wider range of motion with static lace ties to hold tighter when pushing between the posts.
Floor to Knee: Without shoes or skates, measure the vertical distance from the floor to the middle of the knee cap. Refer the F-t-K measurement to the chart above to find the goalies' recommended base leg pad size.
Thigh Rise Height: Thigh rise shown for SR pads only, as thigh rise is largerly player preference. CCM's retail stock pads are built with a +1 thigh rise, with a +2 available in select SR sizes. F-t-K is primarily used to fit the pad.
