Smooth, Vapor-Like Closure The Vapor X5 Pro glove offers a smooth, fingers-to-mid-thumb closure, similar to a 590 break. To help keep this glove projecting its best for longer, the X5 Pro glove's T-top is reinforced with Bauer's durable, yet lightweight CatchLite foam.
CatchLite Palm: Bauer's CatchLite foam pads the X5 Pro glove's palm to offer proper protection without compromising its smooth closure or lightweight feel.
CURV® Reinforced Cuff w/ Rebound Control Padding: The Vapor X5 Pro glove's cuff is reinforced with CURV® composite for a rigid, yet lightweight and responsive feel. Compared to commonly used impact-resistant materials such as ABS plastic, polycarbonate, and fiberglass composites, CURV® composite offers unmatched resistance to cracking, deforming, or splintering, at low temperatures. Padded with Bauer's softer, Rebound Control Foam, this glove offers an excellent balance between rebound pop and control.
Fit & Feel
Full Mesh Finger Stalls w/ Overlapping Pinky: For a comfortable, stay-cool feel, the Vapor X5 Pro glove's finger stalls are built from a soft, breathable mesh. To further enhance this glove's controlled feel, Bauer has integrated an overlapping pinky-to-ring finger stall.
Flexible AeroLite Backhand: Bauer's Vapor X5 Pro glove features a segmented backhand outer, built from Bauer's Aerolite foam and secured with elastic strapping. On the ice, this gives goalies proper protection against stray skates and sticks, without compromising its smooth closure.
CatchGrip Lining: The X5 Pro glove is lined with Bauer's CatchGrip, a tacky embossed suede for a premium, controlled feel.
Strapping
Wrist Strap: Bauer's Vapor X5 Pro glove secures the wrist with a plush, padded mesh, backed with a wide pull-strap. Additionally, the X5 Pro glove's wrist strap is exposed, running out of the cuff for easy on-ice adjustments.
Backhand Fit: The Vapor X5 Pro glove secures the palm with three, easy hook-and-loop adjustments to tighten/loosen the fingers and palm.
Measurement: Most manufacturers do not make blocker or glove sizing guidelines for stock options. In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. If a more exact fit is needed, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
