Vaughn's SLR4 Pro Carbon Custom Goalie Gloves are built to pro-spec in Oxford, Michigan and London, Ontario; one of the few remaining manufacturers for goalies who prefer the timeless quality of handcrafted equipment. Compared to previous SLR gloves, the SLR4 Pro Carbon glove prioritizes response, with a no-flare, lightweight cuff that projects a wider, more open pocket.
Cuff Construction: Regardless of the selected break option, all SLR4 Pro Carbon gloves are built with a flat, rigid cuff that builds up into a Carbon molded palm, featuring a smooth, pre-formed break.
Stock: Pre-Formed 60° Break, similar closure to a 590.
Custom: Pre-Formed 70° Break, similar closure to a 580.
Palm & Padding: The palm lining has been treated with an antimicrobial to help reduce bacterial growth, with both INT and SR palm lining options available.
Stock: Game-Ready w/ ShockShield, lightest and easiest closure.
Custom:
Beefed-Up Pro w/ ShockShield, extra finger and palm padding for high-level competition.
Practice w/ ShockShield, maximum padding for repetitive shots.
Palm Lining & Sizing: All SLR4 Pro Carbon gloves are built with an embossed suede palmlining; treated with an antimicrobial agent to help the glove stay fresh.
Stock: Senior Palm, sized to fit +7" (17.8 cm) from base of palm to tip of the middle finger.
Custom: Intermediate Palm, sized to fit 5.5 - 7" (14 - 17.8 cm) from base of palm to tip of the middle finger.
T/Web: Standard for all SLR4 Pro Carbon gloves, a snappy, Carbon reinforced single-t, laced with a high-visibility nylon webbing.
Stock: SLR4 Pro Carbon gloves feature a snappy single-T web as their standard option.
Custom:
Double-T, increased pocket depth & width with standard double anchoring.
Hybrid Double-T, featured on Vaughn's Velocity gloves, offers balance between double-t depth and width, with snappier feel.
T Reinforcing: A study T-top, reinforced with Carbon inserts on thumb and finger side is standard on all SLR4 PC gloves. Especially for goalies who tend to press down on the T, the SLR4 PC glove's reinforced T helps to prevent the T from collapsing or deforming with time.
Stock: Carbon reinforcing inserts on thumb & finger side.
Measurement: Most manufacturers do not provide glove and blocker sizing guidelines for stock options. In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. If you are unsure or the goalie is in-between sizes, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
