Waist & Groin Protection
Segmented, High-Density Waist: Vaughn's XP Pro pants are padded around the waist with flexible segments of high-density impact foam, shaped for confident protection with a tucked or un-tucked chestie.
New Belly/Cup Padding: A combination of dense padding and a molded plastic extends protection across the lower belly/groin.
Extended HD Groin Flaps: To stay lighter and more mobile in the crease, the XP Pro pants protect the groin with longer flaps than Vaughn's main-line Velocity & SLR pants.
Thigh Protection
NHL Style One Piece Wrap Thigh Guards: Vaughn's XP Pro goalie pants protect the outer thighs with dense molded thigh guards, shaped to hug tighter around the thighs and wrap to ensure complete coverage.
Extended Inner Thigh & 5-Hole Padding: Vaughn's lightweight SportMesh provides confident protection across the groin and inner thighs without adding excess weight.
Fit & Feel
Wide, 5" (12.7cm) Stretchable Crotch: The XP Pro pants are built to move with the goalie, featuring a soft, high-stretch gusseting through the crotch.
Breathable SportMesh Lining: Vaughn's SportMesh helps to keep these pants cool and comfortable, offering a quick-drying, plush feel against base layers.
Adjustable Inner & Outer Belts: Similar to Vaughn's SLR pants, the XP Pro pants secure with a padded inner belt and a traditional webbing outer belt. Between both belts this build makes it easy for goalies to dial-in their perfect fit.
Waist: Measure around the goalie's waist about 2 finger-widths above where casual pants would be worn.
Fitting
Waist: Vaughn recommends adding 8-10 inches to allow for padding thickness and a tucked-in chest protector.
Length: Vaughn's XP Pro pants are cut about 1/2" shorter than their SLR pants.
