Rigid Hip Padding: The VX1 Pro pants protect the hips and kidneys with rigid injection-molded blocks, wrapped in high-density impact foams to ensure proper protection at higher levels of competition.
HD Padded Tailbone & Spine: To protect the spine without adding excess weight, high-density foams pad the tailbone & lower spine.
Tall Cut HD Front Waist: Vaughn's VX1 pants' high-density front padding is cut to extend higher up the waist than the V10 Pro pants while remaining flexible for a seamless pant-chestie fit.
Thigh & Groin Protection
Flexible, Multi-layer Groin Flaps: The VX1 Pro pants offer dynamic groin protection with multi-layered foams and padded SportMesh. On the ice, their flexible multi-segmented padding ensures complete protection around all angles of the goalie's butterfly.
Streamlined, Full-wrap Thigh Guards: Vaughn's Velocity VX1 Pro goalie pants fully wrap the lower thighs with a rigid injection-molded core, wrapped in high-density foams. Compared to the V10 Pro pants, the VX1 Pro's thigh guards follow the goalie's form more closely, while retaining seamless flexibility.
Extended Inner Thigh Padding: Vaughn's lightweight SportMesh offers an additional layer of padding that extends all the way down the VX1 Pro pants' inseam.
Build, Fit, and Feel
400 Denier Nylon w/ Moisture-repellent Coating: The VX1 Pro pants face the ice with a highly durable 400 Denier Nylon, backed with a moisture-repellent coating improving both comfort and long-term durability. - Commonly used to make rugged, yet lightweight outdoor and tactical equipment, "Denier" refers to the weight and density of the woven Nylon fibers. The higher the Denier, the heavier and typically more durable the fabric will be.
Stretch-mesh Crotch & Thigh Gusseting: The Velocity VX1 Pro pants are built to move, gusseted through the crotch, thighs, and rear with a dynamic, stretchable mesh.
