Build
Anaform Thermoformable Shell: Introduced with the Konekt HF2 skates, the Konekt HF3 goalie skates offer a custom-fit feel with a fully-thermoformable two-piece shell.
22° HingeFlex System: Adapted for goalies from Pro-Ski technology, Bauer's HingeFlex upper allows for 22-degrees of forward flexibility in the ankle. In practice, Bauer's HingeFlex upper allows the goalie to tighten their stance with more flex in the ankles over traditional skates; better ergonomically, this allows more of the goalie's body weight to be centered over their skates.
Vertexx Edge Holder w/ LS5-G 3mm Runners: Familiar to fans of Bauer's elite goalie skates, the featured Vertexx Edge Holder allows the skates to hold a lower, more aggressive angle. Additionally, the Vertexx Edge Holder features Bauer's tool-less rapid change trigger system, making quick runner changes a breeze.
Strapping
Konekt 2, Push-Lock Buckle: Upgraded from the HF2 skates, Bauer's HF3 goalie skates secure at the ankles using the same durable and secure push-lock buckle design debuted with the Konekt 2 skates.
Velcro® Foot Strap: Also new for the Konekt HF3 skates, a wide Velcro® pull-strap secures the lower foot while allowing for quick and easy adjustments.
Fit & Feel
Konekt Wrap Fit: The Konekt HF3s are lined with a plush, thermoformable lining, designed to form-fit, similar to previous generation Konekt liners. New for the Konekt HF3's, the Konekt Wrap liners fit with a snug wrap around the entire foot.
ULTRALON® Ankle & Toe Padding: Often used in orthopedic insoles for its tight cell density with excellent cushioning, ULTRALON® foams provide additional padding at the ankles and toes.
Measurements & Fitting: For senior skates it is generally recommended to size 1.5 down from your US street shoe size. To ensure your skates fit properly, push your toes forward against the toe cap, and check the gap between your ankle and the skate's boot with your fingertip. Ideally, your skates should hug each side of the foot without creating painful pressure points or leaving too much space between the foot and the liner.
Konekt & Konekt HF Skates:
Sold in whole sizes. For those wearing half-size skates, it's recommended to size one half down.
Pro & Elite Skates (Performance Fit System):
Fit 1: Low volume boot (narrow fit around the top of the foot, heel, and ankle) with a narrow forefoot and toe box.
Fit 2: Medium volume boot (neutral fit around the top of the foot, heel, and ankle) with mid-width forefoot and toe box.
Fit 3: High volume boot (wide fit around the top of the foot, heel, and ankle) with wide forefoot and toe box.
