CCM's Tacks Pro goalie stick combines the precision V-shaped shaft/rounded shoulder package introduced with the XF Pro stick with the enhanced playability of the soft heel, stiff toe Evo blade, debuted with the Vizion stick.
Construction/Materials
Full Sigmatex Carbon Fiber Construction: For over 25 years, Sigmatex has been a top choice in the aerospace and automotive industries for producing high-strength, ultra-lightweight carbon fiber textiles.
AluPli Composite Layering: CCM's AluPli shear aluminum layering helps to keep the carbon composite layers bound, producing a stick that's more resistant to cracking or splintering compared to a pure composite construction.
Shaft & Shoulders
Variable V-Shaped Shaft: Carried over from the XF Pro goalie stick, the Tacks Pro is controlled from a unique, variable geometry shaft, tapering from a traditional squared top end, down to a V-shaped profile at the paddle shoulders.
Double-Steep, rounded Paddle Shoulders: Also carried over from the XF Pro goalie stick, a variable V-shaped shaft, complemented by double-steep, rounded paddle shoulders, positions the fingers with greater leverage over the paddle. In effect, this gives the Tacks Pro stick a responsive yet precise feel.
StikTak Coating: CCM’s high-tack, waved StikTak coating has been applied to the Tacks Pro stick's lower shaft and paddle shoulders, further enhancing grip.
Paddle-Blade
Evo Blade: Debuted with the Vizion goalie stick, CCM's Evo blade design combines a soft, rounded heel that plays tight in the crease with a rigid, squared toe, designed to pull pucks off the boards with confidence.
CarbonRib Paddle-Blade: Complementing its carbon composite construction, the Tacks Pro paddle is reinforced throughout with additional carbon fiber ribbing.
High Flex Profile: Similar to the previous XF Pro stick, CCM's Tacks Pro goalie stick complements its rigid paddle with a short, soft-flex shaft, designed to play the puck with a snappy, responsive feel.
Ultra-light carbon composite stick built for a quick, tight response, combining a precision shaft/sholder package with a progressive soft-stiff shaft-down flex.
Measurements: Manufacturers do not typically offer sizing guidelines for goalie sticks as individual play styles, stances, comfort preferences, and body dimensions vary widely.
Fitting: As a general guideline, start with a stick in the same age group (Youth, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior) as the rest of your equipment. Then, refer your height against the above table to find a generally recommended paddle length.
The information in this fit chart was provided as a general fitting guideline, not specific to any one manufacturer of hockey goalie sticks. This guide cannot guarantee a perfect fit, as equipment manufacturing and individual preferences can vary. For more personalized guidance, please contact our customer support team.
