Core Construction
Thin Core w/ Soft, Dynamic Flex: Bauer's Profile 1 flexes around the goalie with soft-mid flex below the knee, progressively softening above the knee. On the ice, Bauer's Vapor lineup makes an excellent option for goalies who want a thin pad with strong rebounds, but prefer a more pliable flex compared to Bauer's Supreme pads.
Rebound Boost Core Padding: Familiar to fans of the Vapor lineup, Bauer's Rebound Boost foams pad core in a dense, springy composition to help fire pucks off the pad.
CURV® Composite Thigh Rise: High-strength, ultra-lightweight CURV® composites have been implemented to reinforce each thigh-rise, ensuring rigid 5-hole coverage and proper pad seal. Compared to commonly used impact-resistant materials such as ABS plastic, polycarbonate, and fiberglass composites, CURV® composite offers unmatched resistance to cracking, deforming, or splintering, at low temperatures.
Reactive-Flex, 100° Boot w/ Thick Profile: Bauer's Reactive-Flex 100° boot anchors the SV-Pro pads to the skates with a more ergonomic fit compared to Bauer's 120° Supreme boot. On the ice, Bauer's softer flex boot allows for easier, more precise ankle movements, while the added thickness promotes tighter rebound play at the posts.
Outer Construction
S.L.1.D.3.R. Skin: Carried over from the HyperLite 2 pads, Bauer's S.L.1.D.3.R. skin is a one-piece thermoformed pad skin, designed for an ultra-light balance between durability and pop.
Rebound Edge: Running the pads outer edge, a stiff, low-profile outer roll runs down to the Vapor FlyLite pad's boot, helping to maintain the pads shape and minimize skip-over.
Calf & Knee Support
StabiliFlex Knee Block: The FlyLite pads land on a directly integrated knee block, layered with Bauer's adaptive combination of synthetic suede and tactile rubbers, Stabili-Grip. Compared to the StabiliSlide knee block featured on Bauer's Supreme pads, the FlyLite's StabiliFlex knee block helps to keep the knee centered while allowing a bit more flex between the knee and the pad's core.
BalancePlate Calf Support System: Bauer's single-bracket BalancePlate system is designed to balance stability and flex more closely compared to the Supreme lineup's stability-focused double-bracket system. Furthering their balance between stability and flex, the Vapor FlyLite pads meet the ice with a streamlined calf plate, backed by a small calf support pillow to fill negative space, stabilizing the pads' butterfly.
Fit & Adjustability
SLYD TuneFit Strapping: Keeping with the Vapor lineup's focus on ultra-light flexibility, Bauer's low-profile SLYD TuneFit strapping allows goalies to easily fine-tune tension across the top and bottom of the calves.
Centered Vapor Toe Box w/ Kurim Elastic Ties: The FlyLite pads' centered toe box with heavy-duty Kurim Polyurethane ties keep a tighter feel to the skates, promoting precision movements down through the boot while allowing some flexibility in the ankles.
Shin Height Measurement: Without skates or shoes on, measure the vertical distance from the floor to the middle of the knee cap. Refer this measurement to the chart above to find the recommended size. Note: Bauer thigh rise plays like a +1.5".
