Bauer's Vapor FLYLite goalie stick debuts, ready to lock-down the crease with an ultra-light build, 35g lighter than its predecessor*, and a dynamic hybrid toe blade.
Construction
TeXtreme® Spread Tow Carbon Weave: The FLYLite goalie stick's distinct TeXtreme® spread tow weave not only gives it the distinct checkered carbon look, but forms an incredibly-rigid stick while maintaining an ultra-light, balanced feel.
28" (71.1cm) Unidirectional Carbon Composite Shaft: Compared to the checkered spread tow carbon layers that forms the FLYLite stick's paddle, its shaft's unidirectional carbon layers are woven in parallel, flowing vertically down the shaft's composition for a smoother, more direct loading and release.
555g (19.6oz) Base Weight: 35g (1.2oz) lighter than the outgoing HyperLite 2 goalie stick, the ultra-light Vapor FLYLite goalie stick is built for quick plays with an unmatched response. (* SR 25" Paddle)
Paddle & Blade
Quadruple Stanchion, Air-Bridge Paddle: Improving durability over its predecessor, Vapor FLYLite paddle is reinforced with high-strength ribs (stanchions) at 4 key points throughout the paddle.
PENTA-GRIP w/ Traditional Shoulder: Familiar to fans of VAPOR goalie sticks, the FLYLite goalie stick is built for precision movements, featuring a high-tack shoulder complemented by the improved ergonomics of Bauer's pentagonal, PENTA-GRIP.
Hybrid Toe Blade w/ Expancel® Core: Debuted with the Protocol goalie stick, the Vapor FLYLite features Bauer's hybrid toe, designed to pull and play pucks off the boards with squared top, balanced by quick handling from a rounded base. Additionally, the FLYLite goalie stick's hybrid toe blade is filled with an ultra-light expanding foam, Expancel®. On the ice, the FLYLite's Expancel® fill dampens vibration and flex throughout the blade to ensure a solid feel with more consistent plays off the tape.
Choosing the right fit for a goalie stick is largely player preference. Manufacturers do not typically offer sizing guidelines for goalie sticks as individual play styles, stances, and body dimensions vary.
For a general fitting guideline, choose a stick in the same age group (Youth, Junior, Intermediate, or Senior) as the goalie's pads and equipment. Then, refer their height against the above table to find a generally recommended paddle length.
The information in this fit chart was provided by Bauer, intended as a general fitting guideline. This guide cannot guarantee a perfect fit, as equipment manufacturing and individual preferences can vary. For more personalized guidance, please contact our customer support team.
