Reshaped from the outgoing Optik lineup, the Kryptik glove from Brian's is built for a quick, effortless feel, complemented by an extra-wide pocket profile and smooth game-ready close. Brian's Custom Sports stays true to its name and timeless, handcrafted quality, building each of their Optik 4 pads, gloves, and blockers by hand in Kingsville, Ontario.
Cuff Construction
40°, Laced-in Break: Familiar to fans of the Optik glove, Brians' 40° break returns with reworked internals to ensure a snappy, full-seal closure. Similar to a 590 break, Brians' 40° break presents a wide pocket to the shooter with a whole-handed, fingers-to-lower-thumb closure.
Expanded, Double-T Web: Stock, the Kryptik glove ships with a broad, double-T, expanded across the t-top and through the pocket to maximize pocket depth and width.
One-piece, BRI-FUSE Cuff: Carried over from the Optik 4 glove, Brian's BRI-FUSE cuff reinforcement is composed of sculpted high-density foams, layered atop with a high-impact, thermo-formed plastic that gives this glove a rigid yet lightweight core and sharp flare.
Palm & Finger Protection
Game-ready Palm w/ KOROYD Layering: Stock, the Kryptik glove is built for a smooth, game-ready closure. For added protection against higher level shooters, low-profile, high-density KOROYD foam is layered across the palm.
Segmented Backhand w/ KOROYD Finger Protection: Segmented padding provides backhand protection without compromising the glove's, snappy, game-ready closure. High-density impact foams with an added KOROYD foam layering expands over the fingers for added protection when freezing pucks.
Fit & Strapping
Hex-Air Floating Inner Cuff: Brians' Hex-Air floating cuff pads the wrist while creating breathing room to help ventilate heat and channel fresh air into the palm. Lined with a soft, SBA (synthetic suede), the Hex-Air Cuff complements the glove's high-tack, embossed suede inner palm, offering a premium feel with a confident, moisture-resistant grip.
ATOP Smart Dial Strapping: Traditional Velcro® and nylon webbing straps can wear out quickly, and even when fully tightened, slowly lose tension with each move. As an alternative, the ATOP System tightens small, high-strength cables to secure the wrist, click by click, for a perfect fit that won't slip during a game or wear out after a heavy season.
Hand Length: Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
Fitting: In most cases, sizing to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. To ensure proper control, the glove/blocker should feel snug across the back of the hand with the fingers reaching the end of the finger stall(s).
*Please Note: Senior Gloves/Blockers with an Int. or XL palm are available through Brian's Custom only.
