Core Construction
LITECORE™: The Phenom leg pads' streamlined LITECORE™ construction offers a lighter, more agile feel compared to CCM's previous generation Junior leg pads.
Single Inner & Outer Breaks: CCM's Phenom pads are built around a single-break core with a single break outer roll, moving through the crease with a soft, youth-friendly flex.
Flat-face DFLEX Build: The Phenom leg pads take the crease with a flat-face build, giving young goalies plenty of surface area to develop directional rebound control.
Leg Channel
Dense Knee & Calf Padding w/ Hexa Suede Grip: To help growing goalies feel comfortable and confident, the Phenom leg pads cushion the inner edge with a dense knee stack and plush calf padding. The Phenom pads' knee stacks are topped with a tactile synthetic suede, embossed with a hexagonal texture, helping to maintain optimal positioning in the knees.
ADPTFIT Upper Calf Strap: The ADPTFIT calf strapping featured on the Phenom pads functions similarly to a professor strap, securing the upper calves to help control the pads while allowing more rotation above.
Tight Leg Channel w/ Comfort Wrap: A deep, tight fit leg channel helps the pad to move more closely with the goalie, helping to put the pads down with a greater sense of control.
Boot
Shallow, Soft Flex Boot: Down to the boot, the Phenom pads are built to move and flex easily with the goalie, without sacrificing too much coverage at the posts.
Offset Hybrid Lace Toe Ties: CCM's Hybrid Skate Lace Toe Ties secure with stretchable Velcro® straps, allowing the ankles a wider range of motion with static lace ties to hold tighter when pushing between the posts. For further comfort, the Phenom leg pads' toe box is offset, relieving ankle strain by allowing the skates to fall closer to the ice.
Floor to Knee: Without shoes or skates, measure the vertical distance from the floor to the middle of the knee cap. Refer the F-t-K measurement to the chart above to find the goalies' recommended base leg pad size.
Thigh Rise Height: Thigh rise shown for SR pads only, as thigh rise is largerly player preference. CCM's retail stock pads are built with a +1 thigh rise, with a +2 available in select SR sizes. F-t-K is primarily used to fit the pad.
