Board Construction
BRI-FUSE Board Reinforcement: Brian's BRI-FUSE board reinforcement is composed of sculpted high-density foams, layered atop a high-impact thermoplastic to give this blocker a rigid, yet lightweight core and long-lasting rebounds.
Flared Board Design: Built for a solid, precise feel, the Iconik 2 blocker's steep flare gives rebounds a sharp pop with a greater sense of directional control.
Thinned Board Profile w/ Neutral Hand Position: A thinner, ultra-lightweight board carried over from the previous generation Iconik blocker offers a tight, streamlined feel, complemented by the responsive, balanced feel of a neutral hand positioning.
Finger and Hand Protection
Redesigned, High-Density Sidewall: Redesigned HD sidewall internally laced to reduce flex between the board and sidewall. Lined with high-density impact foams to absorb and deaden the puck's impact to control stray pucks and prevent hand injury.
Removable Thumb Pillow: Easily removable with a Velcro® attachment, a plush thumb pillow offers the option for additional padding between the sidewall and thumb.
Fixed Finger Protection w/ Deep Thumb Notch: Double-layered finger blocks provide confident protection for the middle through pinky fingers, complemented by padded, flat board index protection. At the thumb, a deeper notch helps to reduce rubbing, ensuring complete coverage while allowing for agile stick movements.
Fit and Mobility
Reinforced Nash Palm: The Iconik 2 blocker features a premium, Nash® palm, reinforced over the center of the palm and index finger with an embossed synthetic suede, improving both grip and durability.
Smart Dial Strapping System: Traditional Velcro and nylon webbing straps can wear out quickly, and even when fully tightened, slowly lose tension with each move. As an alternative, the Smart Dial Strapping System tightens small, high-strength cables to secure the wrist, click by click, for a perfect fit that won't slip during a game or wear out after a heavy season.
Bindingless Cuff w/ Open Wrist: Designed to minimize binding between chest protector sleeves and the blocker's cuff, the Iconik 2 blocker carries over the bindingless, open wrist flap seen with the previous Iconik blocker.
Hand Length: Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
Fitting: In most cases, sizing to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. To ensure proper control, the glove/blocker should feel snug across the back of the hand with the fingers reaching the end of the finger stall(s).
