Retooled and reshaped from their previous SLR line, Vaughn's Ion Pro Select glove carries over the SLR line's flat, high-mobility cuff, while expanding coverage with a wide, double-T web. For goalies at the top of their game, Vaughn's Ion Pro Select goalie gloves are built to pro-spec in Oxford, Michigan and London, Ontario.
Break Options
Pre-Formed 60° Break (Stock): Excellent for goalies who prefer a 590-like, fingers-to-mid-thumb closure, the Ion glove's 60° break is pre-formed for a natural whole-handed closure right off the shelf.
Pre-Formed 70° Break: Vaughn's 70° break option fits somewhat between a traditional 580 and 590 closure, closing with the whole-handed fingers-to-thumb feel of a 590, but breaks over the palm and folds in the T like a 580.
T/Web Options
Double-T (Stock): Compared to the previous SLR4 glove, the Ion Pro Select glove keeps the same break, but applies it to a double-T web. On the ice, the Ion glove's new double-T web widens the pocket, helping to funnel pucks in from the fingers and give the goalie a better sense of puck control.
Hybrid Double-T: Standard on Vaughn's Velocity gloves, the Split Double-T anchors into the glove from a single fused spine, splitting into a double as it runs to the T top. On the ice, this unique shaping projects the wider pocket of a double-T, but closes with the snappier feel compared to a standard double-T.
Single-T: A slim single-T spine projects a more narrow pocket, but closes with a smoother, snappier feel.
Palm Protection Options
Game Ready w/ ShockShield (Stock): Vaughn's Game Ready Palm with ShockShield, a dense impact foam layered over the fingers to perform at all levels of competition.
Beefed Up w/ ShockShield: Additional palm and finger padding to confidently face higher-level shooters.
Practice w/ ShockShield: Thickest padding option to face repeated shots.
T Reinforcement Options
Reinforced T-top (Stock): Standard for all configurations, the Ion Pro Select glove is reinforced across both sides of the T. Especially beneficial for goalies who tend to press down on the T, the Ion glove's reinforced T keeps it projecting and closing its best for longer.

Fit & Feel
High-Positioned Padded Wrist Strapping: Similar to their previous SLR gloves, Vaughn's Ion gloves secure around a plush padded wrist strap, affixed higher up the cuff to widen the goalie's range of wrist mobility.
Comfortable Mesh Backhand w/ Easily-Adjustable Strapping: Familiar to fans of Vaughn gloves, a mesh backhand lining and finger gussets offer unmatched comfort, complemented by a wide range of adjustability that allows goalies to dial-in their perfect fit.
High-Tack Antimicrobial Palm Lining: Vaughn's Ion Pro Select gloves are lined with a high-tack embossed suede that helps to manage moisture and maintain full control through the longest practices. Additionally, the Pro Select glove lining is treated with an antimicrobial, slowing the growth and settlement of odor-causing bacteria.
HD Finger & Backhand Padding: Enhancing protection and helping to funnel pucks into the pocket, the Ion glove pads the fingers with dual-layered, high-density impact foams.
Measurement: Most manufacturers do not provide glove and blocker sizing guidelines for stock options. In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. If you are unsure or the goalie is in-between sizes, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
