Break Options- Pre-Formed 60° Break (Stock): Excellent for goalies who prefer a 590-like, fingers-to-mid-thumb closure, the Ion glove's 60° break is pre-formed for a natural whole-handed closure right off the shelf.
- Pre-Formed 70° Break: Vaughn's 70° break option fits somewhat between a traditional 580 and 590 closure, closing with the whole-handed fingers-to-thumb feel of a 590, but breaks over the palm and folds in the T like a 580.
T/Web Options- Double-T (Stock): Compared to the previous SLR4 glove, the Ion Pro Select glove keeps the same break, but applies it to a double-T web. On the ice, the Ion glove's new double-T web widens the pocket, helping to funnel pucks in from the fingers and give the goalie a better sense of puck control.
- Hybrid Double-T: Standard on Vaughn's Velocity gloves, the Split Double-T anchors into the glove from a single fused spine, splitting into a double as it runs to the T top. On the ice, this unique shaping projects the wider pocket of a double-T, but closes with the snappier feel compared to a standard double-T.
- Single-T: A slim single-T spine projects a more narrow pocket, but closes with a smoother, snappier feel.
