Fit & Strapping
Left/Right Labeling w/ Youth-friendly Strapping: Vaughn's VX1 Youth leg pads make it easy for growing goalies to properly fit their own gear with distinct left/right pad labeling and simple Velcro® strapping.
Bungee Toe Ties w/ Clips: Compared to traditional skate lace toe ties, bungee toe ties allow for a greater range of motion in the goalie's ankle while keeping the pad properly anchored.
Knee-to-Floor Measurement: Without shoes or skates, measure the vertical distance from the floor to the middle of the knee cap. Refer the K-t-F measurement to the chart above to find the goalies' recommended base leg pad size.
Please Note:
*Thigh rise height has not been included as thigh rise is largely player preference. Retail stock pads are typically produced in standard thigh rise heights of +1, +1.5, or +2. K-t-F is primarily used to fit the pad.
