Construction
Strategic Index Padding: Dense impact foams keep the index finger covered against off-angle deflections, complemented by adjustable finger plates that allow goalies to dial in their preferred feel.
Fit & Feel
Microfiber Palm: The Alpha S50 blocker controls from a soft, tactile palm, cut from premium microfiber materials. For those who choose the Mid-Curve profile, the S50 blocker palm is easy to remove and clean with fully-removable hook-and-loop fastenings.
Open Cuff: A wide-funnel open cuff helps to reduce binding between the blocker cuff and chest protector sleeves, allowing for precise, free-flowing positioning.
Blocker Profiles
Mid-Curve (Pictured Above): Prioritizing rebound velocity, the S50 blocker's Mid-Curve configuration utilizes a slightly thicker composition with a smooth elevation across the board's profile. Standard for the Mid-Curve construction, the S50 blocker's palm liner can be easily cleaned or replaced for a quick refresh.
High-Curve: In comparison, the High-Curve S50 blocker is built around a slightly thinner board that's flat across the face with a sharp kick above the wrist. On the ice, the High-Curve option puts more emphasis on control and precise placements. Note that, unlike the Mid-Curve construction, the High-Curve blocker's palm lining is not removable.
Hand Length: Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
Fitting: In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. For a more exact fit, see above.

Hand Length: Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
Fitting: Measure and fit to ensure the goalie's hand fills out the palm/fingers, but isn't so tight as to uncomfortably crimp the hand.
