Blocker Board: The Reactor R5 Pro blocker is built around a rigid, yet lightweight board; complemented by Bauer's springy Shocklite foam to fire pucks into the corners.
Lower Palm Positioning: Familiar to fans of Bauer's Vapor line-up, this blocker's palm takes a lower hand positioning. In practice, this places the board's flare a bit higher up the hand; improving leverage for effortless, precise positioning.
Protection
Shocklite Padded Fingers: To protect from stray pucks without compromising its lightweight feel, the Reactor R5 Pro blocker's fingers are surrounded with dense, Shocklite padding.
Adjustable Fit & Protection: Built for a personalizable fit, the R5 Pro blocker features individually adjustable finger tension for the non-index fingers. For further adjustability, the index finger's side is padded with dense, removable padding.
Molded F1 Side Plate: The Reactor R5 Pro blocker's side wall is reinforced with a rigid molded core, in Bauer's "F1" architecture. Signature to the Vapor line-up, Bauer's "F1" side wall features a deeper thumb notch, backed by a flexible thumb and plush padding. In practice, the "F1" side wall offers a flexible balance between stick handling and protection.
Fit & Feel
Palm Lining: Featured in Bauer's Vapor blockers, the R5 Pro blocker's palm is comprised of a plush, durable synthetic suede. On the ice the DuraConnekt palm offers goalies tactile-feeling paddle control with a soft padding to balance its control with comfort.
Aerolite Cuff: For precision positioning, the R5 Pro blocker's cuff secures with a single wrist strap and elastic anchoring on each side. Offering a balance of protection and mobility, the R5 Pro's cuff is comprised Bauer's lightweight, highly-flexible Aerolite foam.
Measurement: Most manufacturers do not make blocker or glove sizing guidelines for stock options. In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. If a more exact fit is needed, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
