Redesigned from the Optik 3 blocker, the Optik 4 Senior Goalie Blocker is built for quick, precise movements with a more flexible open cuff, and lighter overall construction. Construction
BRI-FUSE Board Reinforcement: Brian's BRI-FUSE cuff-reinforcement is composed of sculpted high-density foams, layered atop with a high-impact thermo-plastic to give this blocker a rigid, yet lightweight core and long-lasting rebounds.
Flared Board w/ Perimeter Bevelling: Complementing its rigid, high-pop board, the Optik 4 blocker's board is formed with a sharp flare to give rebounds a greater sense of directional control. To further its responsive feel, Brian's shaves excess material around the Optik 4 blocker's board with a gentle bevel, helping to reduce weight without compromising blocker surface area.
Open Backhand: Redesigned from the Optik 3 blocker, Brian's debuts the Optik 4 with the removal of the floating cuff strap in favor of an open backhand. On the ice, its open cuff allows the Optik 4 blocker to pivot freely from the wrist.
Protection
High-Density Sidewall & Thumb: To protect against stray pucks, the Optik 4 blocker's sidewall is internally laced to reduce flex between the board and its high-density foam construction.
Squared Thumb Opening: Reshaped to improve stick control over the Optik 3 blocker, the Optik 4 blocker's thumb cutout debuts a wider, more squared shape.
Removable Thumb Pillow: Easily removable with a Velcro® attachment, a plush thumb pillow offers the option for additional padding between the sidewall and thumb.
Fit & Feel
Flexible, Segmented Cuff w/ Low Hinge Points: The Optik 4 blocker complements its open backhand with a flexible, segmented cuff, anchored close to the palm with soft elastics to allow for effortless, precision blocker positioning.
Smart Strap Adjustable Finger Tension: Brians' Optik 4 blocker allows goalies to dial-in the fit and feel of their finger protection. Whether the goalie prefers their finger blocks move tightly with the fingers or more freely, Brian's makes it easy with individual index and 3-finger tension adjustments.
ATOP Smart Dial Strapping: Traditional Velcro® and nylon webbing straps can wear out quickly, and even when fully tightened, slowly lose tension with each move. As an alternative, the ATOP System tightens small, high-strength cables to secure the wrist, click by click, for a perfect fit that won't slip or wear out after a heavy season.
Hand Length: Measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
Fitting: In most cases, sizing to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. To ensure proper control, the glove/blocker should feel snug across the back of the hand with the fingers reaching the end of the finger stall(s).

6 Months: Leg pads, catch gloves, blockers, chest protectors, pants, knee pads, jocks or jills, and equipment bags
30 Days : Composite goalie stick (one-time replacement)
