Crafted by Lefevre, the True Catalyst PX3 leg pads distinguish themselves with a more traditional design that prioritizes performance and build quality. While displaying the classic knee rolls, the Catalyst PX3 leg pads feature an overhauled core, now 30% stiffer at the thigh rise to offer goalies a superior 5-hole seal and higher velocity rebounds out off the thigh rise.
Continuing its classic Lefevre design, the Catalyst PX3 pad's feature a squared outer roll to reduce skip-over, with a single outer roll break below the knee to enable better mobility and crisp butterfly closure. Introducing a 40% thinner profile over their predecessor L12.2 pads, the thinner PX3 pads offer significantly less resistance to overlap, enabling tighter stance control above the knee and greatly improving overall response.
Keeping the boot secure, True's innovative hybrid bungee lace toe ties are featured on the PX3's. What sets True's bungee toe ties apart is their ability to stretch while still keeping the boot tight on top of the skate. Compared to traditional skate laces, bungee toe ties help secure the pads while allowing the lower body to move more naturally, greatly reducing lower-body joint strain.
New for the Catalyst pads, the beloved Lefevre knee stack has been reinforced to ensure greater stability and durability. Additionally, Lefevre's new, more rigid knee stack design drives the PX3 pads to the ice faster and helps to ensure a proper seal.
Knee-to-Floor: Without shoes or skates, measure the vertical distance from the floor to the middle of the knee cap.
Thigh Rise Height: Largely player preference, K-t-F is primarily used to fit the pad. True's retail stock pads are built with a +2 thigh rise.
Please Note: Not all sizes may be available in retail pads, for more exact sizing, consider True Custom.
