High-Density Foam Core w/ Composite Layering: Vaughn's Ion blocker balances coverage with control, built around a 17mm thick high-density padded core with a sharp flare designed to fire pucks into the corners. Unique to the Pro Select Ion Blocker, a rigid composite is layered atop the board's foam core, ensuring a stronger pop that lasts longer.
High Palm Positioning: Prioritizing coverage, the Ion Pro Select blocker's palm is centered higher-up the board, allowing for a flush, paddle-down seal, and complementing the board's sharp flare.
Protection
High-Density QuickSlide Finger Blocks: Curved, high-density finger protection ensures confident coverage against stray pucks, wrapped in Vaughn's QuickSlide material that helps to reduce friction and enhances overall durability.
Reinforced Side Shield: Expanded side shield dimensions, with high-density reinforcing inserts, backed by plush padding protect the side hand and thumb against stray pucks.
Fit & Feel
VX Synthetic Suede Palm w/ SureGrip Layering: The Ion Pro Select blocker moves with a comfortable, high-tack sense of control, combining a tacky VX synthetic suede palm with SureGrip, an embossed suede layered over the palm and index finger.
Antimicrobial Treatment w/ Breathable Mesh Gusseting: Helping this blocker's palm to stay cool and fresh, its fingers are surrounded with a breathable mesh gusseting with an antimicrobial treatment applied to the palm.
Measurement: Most manufacturers do not provide glove and blocker sizing guidelines for stock options. In most cases, a catch glove and blocker sized to the same age group as the goalie's leg pads should provide a proper fit. If you are unsure or the goalie is in-between sizes, measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger.
