Thinned Thigh Rise w/ Stiffer Flex: Compared to their predecessors, the VX1 PC pads are designed to feel lighter, and more mobile, with a thinner thigh rise profile greatly easing pad overlap. Complementing the VX1's thinner thigh profile, stiffer foams with a stiffer thigh flex help to hold a rigid 5-hole seal.

Classic Knee Roll Build w/ Single Break Outer Roll: Vaughn's Velocity pads distinguish themselves with a more traditional, knee roll face and balanced, mid-stiff flex.

QuickSlide Inner Edge: Vaughn's QuickSlide offers an unmatched balance between slide speed and control, wrapping the inner edges with a fine cross-hatched material. Compared to JenPro and other synthetic leathers found in goalie pads, Vaughn's QuickSlide inner edge not only improves slides, but improves long-term durability.

Wide Calf Plate w/ HD Reinforcement: Compared to the previous V10 pads, the Velocity VX1 pads help to hold a more stable butterfly with a wider, high-density foam calf plate. To further improve both comfort and control, a plush cushioning backs each calf plate to pad negative space in the calves.

Fit & Strapping

Streamlined, QuickSlide Boot w/ Softer Flex: Vaughn's streamlined scoop-shaped boot helps the pads to rotate off the skates faster, complemented by an ergonomic shaping with a soft flex. Reactive Rotation Control Plus (RRC+) Calf Strapping: The Velocity VX1 pads secure at the top of the calves with Vaughn's highly-adjustable RRC+ strap design.
